Cultivate is Bloom’s skill-based training program for dancers ages 7–18 who are ready to grow, take on new challenges, and receive thoughtful feedback. This is a year-round ballet training program from June to May. It’s designed to support dedicated dancers looking to strengthen their skills in a positive, encouraging environment.
Auditions: Saturday, April 18th, 2026
Cost: $20
Year-Round Training: Starting in June 2026 and ending in May 2027
Cost: All-inclusive monthly tuition based on dancer’s level in the program

Cultivate is designed for dancers who want to make dance their primary focus.
Dancers will:
✔ Be challenged in Ballet, Jazz, and Modern training.
✔ Work towards gaining pointe shoes in upper levels.
✔ Experience a focused and disciplined classroom environment.
✔ Ensure continued growth and consistency with required year-round training.
✔ Engage in Progress Reports, Teacher Conferences, Ballet Vocabulary Quizzes and Evaluations!
✔ Transition out of age-based ballet and jazz classes, while continuing Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Seeds, and Contemporary at their age level.
✔ Utilize Bloom’s 12-month year-round tuition structure that covers monthly tuition, summer programming, costumes, and performance tickets. -
✔ Minimum 7 years old by October 1st of the season
✔ Recommended one year of age-based ballet prior to auditions✨ Best for dancers who have completed at least one year of age-based ballet, take classes for at least 2 hours a night already and want a more rigorous training experience.

Attire: Your dancer should come dressed in pink tights, a solid colored leotard, pink ballet shoes (and pointe shoes, if applicable), hair in a slicked-back bun, and an optional ballet skirt.

Please review the details below regarding the audition and placement process for the Cultivate Program. We have designed this process to ensure that your dancer is a good fit for the program and well-prepared for success.
Step #1: Audition
During the audition, we will assess your dancer’s readiness for the Cultivate Program by observing:
Class-taking skills – We look for focused dancers who follow directions well.
Demonstration of technique – Dancers are placed by skill level, but we also consider age-based expectations when assessing their current technical knowledge.
Following the audition, you will receive an email indicating one of the following:
Your dancer is invited to join the Cultivate program starting in June.
Your dancer is not yet ready, along with specific recommendations for age-based classes at Bloom to help them prepare for Cultivate in the future.
Step #2: Required Summer Training
If your dancer is invited to join Cultivate following the audition, they will join a 6-week Monday ballet class & participate in July intensives. Families will also start paying our year-round all-inclusive tuition in June.
Monday Ballet Class at Oakview
Dancers will be required to take a Monday night Ballet class to determine their level and build skills for joining Cultivate.Dates: June 6, 15, 22 and July 6, 13, 20, 2026.
Times:
4:30-5:30pm: Age 7
5:30-6:30pm: Ages 8-10
6:30-7:30pm: Ages 11-13
Ages 14+: Various
July Intensives at Oakview
Dancers will be required to take 2 weeks of intensives in July.Dates: July 6th - 9th and July 20th - July 23rd, 2026.
If space allows, option to do the Nutcracker Week as one of the two weeks if your dancer desires to be in the Nutcracker Production: July 13 - July 17, 2026, instead of one of the July weeks.
Times by Level: (Dancers will receive their level at the end of June.)
Cultivate 1 & 1.5: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Mon–Thurs)
Cultivate 2 & 2.5: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Mon–Thurs)
Cultivate 3 & 4: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Mon–Thurs)
Cultivate 5 & 6: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Mon–Thurs)
August Back to Training Week
Dancers will be required to join the back to training week.Dates: August 24th, 25th, & 27th, 2026
Times by Level:
Levels 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5: 4:45–6:45 pm
Levels 3, 4, 5, 6: 7:00–9:00 pm
Step #3: Fall Registration & Beyond
At the end of June, dancers will receive their level placement for Fall Season. Dancers in the Cultivate program must take all assigned classes to their level plus any additional age-based classes they desire.
Fall Requirements by Level: Please view the chart below to see specific requirements for each level taken September through May.
Program Requirements: Cultivate has a Ballet Vocab Quiz, Teacher Conferences, Evaluations and a Spring Show to end their season. All a part of the curriculum in the Cultivate program.
Summer Requirements by Level (after the first summer):
Dancers are required to take 3 out of the 6 intensive weeks offered. Families can choose which 3 weeks work best for their family. Intensives are held in June and July. All dancers must attend the August back to training week.

This model starts in June and ends in May spreading the tuition payments out across the 12 months. As always, you can withdraw from the program at any time but there will be a withdrawal fee.

What are the class requirements for each Cultivate level?
Each Cultivate level has a set of required classes that dancers must take each season. These classes are carefully selected to support well-rounded training and help dancers build strength, technique, and confidence as they progress.
As dancers move up through the levels, the number of required classes increases to match their growing skill and readiness. Class requirements include a mix of ballet, jazz, modern, stretch/strength, and, at higher levels, pre-pointe or pointe (by approval).
