Please read over Information and Policies so you will be properly informed:

Tuition and Fees Overview:

  • Registration Fee: $20 per student ($30 after September 1st)

  • Monthly Tuition: determined by the number of classes enrolled in

  • Recital Fee: $80 per student/ $150 per family (If paid by December 1st)

  • Costume Fee: $80 per costume / $150 for Combo classes (two costumes)

    • Costume Fee includes one pair of tights.

You will be required to pay a $20 Registration Fee per student ($30 after September 1st) when registering for classes. Max $60 per family ($90 after Sept. 1st). This fee holds your place in class until the 1st month of tuition is due. 

Bloom Dance Studio runs on a monthly payment plan. The cost for a class is a set price but broken down and spread out over nine (9) monthly installments (September-May). 

You will pay the same price each month, even when a week is missed for holidays. Nothing is prorated and/or refunded if classes are missed or cancelled due to inclement weather.

Your monthly payment is due no later than the 10th of each month. Any payments not received by the 10th will be subject to a $10 late fee. Tuition and fees can be paid online via credit card or PayPal – or in the studio by placing your cash or check in a marked envelope and leaving it in the lockbox in Studio A. 

We run 32 weeks of scheduled classes from September - May (see calendar for details) with an end of the season recital in May. 

Recital: 

Recital dates: May 9th, 10th and 11th, 2019. Recital location: Westside Church (150th & Dodge).

All students are invited to participate in our annual recital to be held each spring. Please note that all students must participate in the dress rehearsal in order to perform in the recital. There are no exceptions to this policy. 

If you choose to participate in the Spring Recital you will be required to pay a Recital and Costume Fee.

  • Recital fee will be $80 per student or $150 per family if paid before December 1st.

  • Costume Fee will be $80 per costume and includes one pair of tights.

  • Combo classes will be required to purchase TWO costumes for a fee of $150.00.

If you would like to pay on your Recital and Costume fee throughout the nine-month installments, please email us accounting@danceatbloom.com and we would be happy to arrange that to you. 

  • Recital Fee = $8.89/month/dancer or $16.67/month/family

  • Costume Fee = $8.89/month/costume or $16.67/month/combo classes

If you decide to NOT participate in the Spring Recital, you must notify us no later than December 1st. If you fail to do so, you will be required to pay the Costume Fee to cover the cost of the costumes ordered on your behalf. 

Withdrawals and Refunds:

When you register for a season with Bloom Dance Studio, it is with the understanding that you intend to finish the full nine-month season. With that said, we understand that there will be those who have special circumstances or their child is no longer interested in continuing their dance classes.

If you choose to withdrawal, we ask for one-month notice with the understanding that you will not be refunded for any previous installments paid. 

If your child is injured, we encourage you to continue coming to class to observe the material being taught. No adjustment to monthly fee will be made. 

Attendance and Commitment: 

Please call, text or email if you will be absent from class. Make-up classes can often times be arranged. Please speak with the Studio Manager or Director to arrange make-up classes. 

Attending your weekly class is required and important. If a student has repeated absences, Bloom Dance Studio holds the right to dismiss the student from enrollment to allow room for a new student on the waiting list. 

During second semester, choreography for the recital will be taught and rehearsed. It is important for children to feel completely confident with the choreography and the year-end performance. Missing class during this period could result in frustration for the students and their teachers and classmates.

If you decide NOT to participate in the Spring Recital, you must notify us no later than December 1st. If you fail to do so, you will be required to pay the Costume Fee to cover the cost of the costumes ordered on your behalf. 

Parent and Student Expectations:

We expect our students to arrive to class with a positive attitude ready to learn. We will not allow students to be in class who are not willing or able to listen, follow instructions and be kind.

Often times students who are having a difficult time in class are not ready to be in a dance program, either due to age or interest level. If you have any questions regarding your child’s dance instruction, you are encouraged to talk to the teacher (before or after their classes) or contact the director to discuss the situation. 

Enrolling at Bloom Dance Studio obligates you to observe our polices and procedures.

In certain circumstances, when it is in the best interest of one or more students, it may be necessary for Bloom Dance Studio to terminate a student’s enrollment. Every effort will be made to correct a situation before terminating enrollment. Reasons for termination of enrollment include the following: 

  • Disruptive or dangerous behavior by students or their parents

  • Abuse of other children, staff, or property

  • Inability of Bloom Dance Studio to meet the needs of the child

Discipline: 

In order to maintain a happy, healthy, professional environment, students are taught the importance of being a part of the group. We encourage students to have respect for other students, the teachers and staff, studio property, and the development of good habits and compliance with rules of conduct. 

Our staff and faculty are trained to use constructive techniques of discipline to maintain class control and handle individual misbehavior. We work hard to maintain an atmosphere where students can learn and grow. 

  • Following instructions is required.

  • Not causing disruptions during class time is required.

  • Not talking out of turn is required.

  • Able to separate from parents is required.

If students are unable to abide by these requirements, you may be asked to develop a discipline plan to help your child reach the expected behavior or return at a later point when the child is ready to try again. 

Inclement Weather: 

When Millard Public School closes due to inclement weather, Bloom Dance Studio will also be closed. We encourage you to call or check the website if you are unsure whether or not classes are being held. 

Communication: 

Information will be posted at Bloom Dance Studio (Studio A and B) and on Instagram/Facebook. We will e-mail and text to the contact information provided at the time of registration. We send monthly email updates to keep you informed throughout the season. 

Please keep us informed of any contact changes during the year.  

Reminders:

  • We retain the right to cancel a class or change the schedule due to low enrollment.

  • If you have an enthusiastic dancer, you are welcome to sign up for more than one class per week or take advantage of our unlimited monthly pass.

  • We may from time to time arrange for a substitute if an instructor has personal or professional obligations.

  • If you would like to observe your child’s class, please do so from the waiting room or talk with the director to make an arrangement.

  • No food, drinks, or gum in dance class.

  • Parents are NOT required to stay at the studio during their child’s class, however we ask you to be prompt in your pick up when class time is finished. Students need to wait in the studio for their parents to return. Students cannot be outside of the studio unattended.
